New NetEqualizer Model Changes the Sound of Shaping |
| |
We're happy to introduce our newest model, the NetEqualizer NE2000D. This is a NetEqualizer 2u desktop unit for light office duty. It's available from two megabits to 45 megabits, with pricing identical to comparable NE2000 models.
This unit runs much quieter than our 1u rack mount and is designed to be installed within sight. We also plan to offer the desktop version with an optional disk drive for more extensive NTOP reporting. The NE2000D will essentially function just as our previous NetEqualizer models, but simply offer administrators more options when it comes to the installation and placement of the unit.

Art Is Coming to Idaho |
| |
Art Reisman, CEO of APconnections, will be speaking at the ITA Central Office & IT meeting in Boise, Idaho on September 13. If you happen to in or around Boise, please let us know so we can get you a pass to this event. Attendees include some 20 local phone/DSL operators and Art will be presenting on the pros and cons of bandwidth control. We hope to see you there!

See Us on CBC? |
| |
We're currently in talks with the Canadian Broadcasting Company (CBC) show "Market Place" to do a special feature regarding bandwidth control that will be shot sometime this fall. Art's recent PC Magazine piece, "Analysis: The White Lies ISPs Tell about Broadband Speeds", has spurred much interest in the consumer bandwidth industry, which has led to this opportunity with the CBC.
A final shooting date has not been set, but we wanted to share in the excitement with our readers first. We'll keep you updated as the details develop. Stay tuned!

New and Improved MAC Redirection Feature Available |
| |
We recently contracted with a Linux IPtables expert, Rod Ghorashi-Zadeh, to harden our MAC redirection techniques. We have tested the improvements with existing customers and all is good to go. This latest feature is now documented in our User Guide and we will be upgrading these new techniques into the GUI in the next release.

AirEqualizer Hidden Node Solution Getting Plenty of Attention |
| |
If you are a wireless operator and have not read our hidden node white paper, you owe it to yourself to review this document. It's getting rave critical reviews from industry experts for our forward thinking ideas on solving the hidden node issue. The technology has been featured on ISP-Planet.com ("With AirEqualizer, NetEqualizer Returns to its WISP Roots"), as well as garnering the interest of several other trade publications.
For more information on the AirEqualizer, take a look at the white paper or visit our Web site at http://www.netequalizer.com/apeq.htm. In addition to being available in the U.S., APconnections has partnered with Ai Bridges and the University of Limerick in Ireland on a European version of the AirEqualizer.

NetEqualizer Training Seminar To Be Held in California |
| |
After two successful NetEqualizer training seminars in Minneapolis and Dallas, plans are in the works for a third seminar later this year in California. The seminar will be divided into two parts, with the first providing an overview of the NetEqualizer and the second focusing on advanced technical training. This will be a great opportunity for existing and potential customers to see the full capabilities of the NetEqualizer.
The exact location of the California seminar has yet to be decided, but we are open to suggestions of potential venues. Please let us know if you'd be interested in attending, or even hosting the event. We can be contacted at 1-800-918-2763 or via e-mail at admin@apconnections.net.
